The Knight of the Burning Pestle performed to over 1,300 people

“It was joyful and tremendous. We loved it! The clarity, the humour… the amazing blocking and choreography!” (Professor Tiffany Stern, The Shakespeare Institute)

A mischievous parody and generous satire, this play both mocks theatre, and revels in it. By encouraging audience engagement and exploiting the undeniable power of popular song, rude vigour tramples all over literary sophistication. The result is an embracing of the spirit of Carnival, the festive excess of popular celebration.

Our tours of The Knight of the Burning Pestle in March and April were very well-received. The production has been seen so far by over 1300 people at performances in Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, London, Dartford and Montpellier, France.

But it’s not over yet!
