The 2024 BSA conference took place at the University of De Montfort in June. The conference focussed on ‘Shakespeare’s Writing Lives’ and commemorated the 20th anniversary of the BSA’s journal, Shakespeare. Edward’s Boys were invited to provide a workshop explaining how we approach the ‘difficult language’ of early modern drama. The two-hour session was led by Perry Mills and Janice Valls-Russell, and performances were given by Adriel, Thomas, Felix and Jamie, present and past members of the company. All participants responded to the questions posed by the audience of over one hundred leading Shakespeare academics. The workshop was extremely well-received.
